ABOUT THE PHD AWARDS

The Centre for Competition Economics annually awards three prizes for the best research papers in industrial organization written by young researchers.

Submissions
Elibible young researchers should either be current PhD students or must have defended thier PhD after November 30th 2022. The submitted paper must not be co-authored with a senior researcher (this is, a researcher with a PhD obtained more than 5 years prior to date of submission). The submited paper can realte to any topic in the industrial organixation with implications for competition polivy.

Review & Selection
After the closing date, the acadmic members of the Board of the Centre for Competition Economics will review the submitted papers. The decision will be communicated to the winners by December 15th 2025.

Announcement & Presentation
The winners of the prizes will be invited to a conference organised by the Centre taking place on March 6th, 2026, in London (expenses will be covered). They will recieve thier prize upon presentation of thier article at the conference.
