OUR BOARD

Markus Reisinger is a Fellow of the Centre for Competition Economics. He is Professor for Industrial Organization and Microeconomics at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. His research interests are Industrial Economics and Competition Policy, with a particular focus on two-sided markets, vertical market structures, and pricing policies. He is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Industrial Economics and his research has been published in journals such as the Journal of Political Economy, RAND Journal of Economics, American Economic Journal: Microeconomics, and Management Science.

Since 2025, Markus is a member of the Economic Advisory Group for Competition Policy (EAGCP) of the European Commission. He is also a member of the working group Competition Economics of the German Federal Cartel Office since 2017 and of the Austrian Competition Commission since 2022. From 2017 till 2019, he has been the scientific member of the steering committee of the Association of Competition Economics (ACE). He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Munich and was a visiting researcher at the Institute of Industrial Economics (IDEI), University of Toulouse, the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, and the Booth School of Business, University of Chicago.
